Easter 2012

Just a quick post on Easter 2012. We shared this special day with another special day - Paiton's Birthday. I struggled with trying to make both of them unique and special for everyone. I'll admit is was really hard. I hope this doesn't happen often.

Here are a few pictures of the day.

Kole got a new big wheel for Easter. He loves it. This kid tries to get on the girls big bikes, so we hope this will satisfy him for awhile.

The inside Easter Egg Hunt. Kole could care less, but the girls loved it.

The baskets.

I like this blurry picture of Kole. It portrays him zooming around the house- which is exactly what was happening.

Paiton checking out her loot - a bright green swimsuit.

Saige loving her basket. This girl loves new clothes - such a girl.

The Easter Egg Hunt at Grandma's. There were thousands of eggs. I think the kids were tired before they found them all.

Again, Kole didn't really care about those brightly covered plastic things that were full of candy.

Paiton couldn't even hold still for a picture. It was too exciting. You get what you get.

This was completely staged, just for Easter sake.

Saige and her basket full of eggs. What a cutey!
"What is going on?"

And now we switch to Birthday Party mode. Paiton opening presents.

Grandma made Paiton this great horse blanket. She loves it. Look at that smile on her face.

Happy Birthday!

Paiton's Birthday Party

This should be the last post about Paiton's birthday, then we can move on. What can I say.....Birthdays are a big deal around here!
I'm still wondering who the crazy woman was that agreed to a Build-A-Bear Party with 13 little girls. It must of been a weak moment. We as mothers always want to please our kids.

For her friend birthday we had a Build-A-Bear celebration. The transportation and keeping eyes on 13 little girls was a little stressful, but overall the party was great. Once we arrived at Build-A-Bear the cute party coordinator took over. She was awesome! She even told me I could leave and come back in a hour. She handled the kids very well and made Paiton feel like a Queen and took all the stress off of me. It was GREAT and totally worth the $10 a person.

My girls waiting for the big celebration. They were so excited.

Of course a Horse cake. She was thrilled to have it!

The house decorated for the big day. Paiton was very specific about the decorations this year.

And this is what they did while we were waiting. They were so excited they stood by the door and gazed out the windows for guests.

Opening presents before we left.

The madness!

Happy Birthday Paiton!

The Build-A-Bear extravaganza. Paiton and her birthday host - Felesha. She was awesome!

Thanks Mom for helping. She stood at the door to make sure no kids escaped. :-) I couldn't of done it without her. Isn't she cute!

All of the girls with their bears, happy as can be.

Paiton's actual birthday fell on Easter Sunday this year. So between Easter Egg hunts and Easter parties, we celebrated her special day.

I love this girl. I'm so proud of her and the person she has become. Happy Birthday Paiton!

Paiton is 7!!!

We just celebrated Paiton's 7th birthday party. I say it all the time, but time flies. I can't believe it has been 7 years since this little angel entered our lives.

She has become quite the little lady these days. She is so sweet and sensitive, she hates for anyones feelings to get hurt. She is funny and social, she loves to be around people and parties. She has grown up so much in the last year, and become a lovely girl.

Paiton loves horses. It is obvious in the her answers to the questions below how much this girl loves horses. I have no idea where this comes from because I'm a little scared of horses. I've decided I need to nurture this love of horses and give up on the idea this is just a phase. She loves school and has all sorts of friends. Her teacher is constantly telling me how sweet she is to the other kids, even the not-so-popular kids. She is always happy and rarely in a bad mood. She loves her family and plays so good with Kole. She is fun to be around and always up for a good time.

We love her so much words can't explain it.

I saw this idea on Pinterest to ask the same 20 questions of your kids on their birthday from 3-18 to see how their answers change over the years. I'm a little past 3, but still going with it. So, here are the answers to Paiton's 20 questions.

Favorite Quote Fridays

I always see these great quotes flying around on Pinterest and Facebook. When I read them I cry, I laugh, and sometimes I just sit and ponder on it. So, I decided every Friday I will share one of my favorites. Enjoy!

I love this one. I constantly need to be reminded of it. I know I act just like my mother and I couldn't be prouder. I hope my kids can look past my imperfections and see a good person that loves them unconditionally.

Silly Kids

Just a few pictures of our kids....being kids.

I love this picture although Kole is closing his eyes. I wish it would of turned out, but it is still funny.

A new hat. This is his smile when we get out the camera.

Where's Waldo? Can you see Saige?

Nothing to say about this one but "what?????"
