Pirates Island

Arrrgh! We had the pleasure of spending a few days at Pirates Island. This place is just outside of Las Vegas and is absolutely amazing. It is owned by NuSkin, and I have a brother who flies the owners of NuSkin. Every once in awhile he receives a few perks and we were able to join him this time. All but one of my brothers were there (sorry Wade).
This place is indescribable. There are 30 guest rooms and bathrooms, all of them furnished in a Pirate Theme. It isn't just a few pirates here and there, it is all decked out. You could spend all day just looking at all of the detail. There are probably 5 pools, waterslides, rope swing, diving platforms, several kitchens and bars, hot tubs, outside TV's, pizza ovens, BBQ's, and the list goes on. I could easily spend several weeks here and be happy. We were in heaven and enjoyed some much needed sun and relaxation. Here are some pictures to prove it.

Before we could check in we spent a few hours in Vegas. It is funny how all of the sudden Vegas isn't that appealing with three little kids. All of the drunks, naked ladies, and men handing out strip club flyers isn't so great, but we had fun.

We had spent a few hours walking the strip and decided to take a taxi back to the car. It was a first for the kids and they were having the time of their life. What can I say? I aim to please. :)

Here it is Pirates Island:

It didn't take long for the kids to get wet.

A train of cousins down the slide.
Saige is my cautious one, she always kept her life jacket on and never went too far away from me. This girl swam and swam and swam. She loved the water, especially the slide.
Grandpa is just a big kid. I think he enjoyed the slide as much as the kids. :)

My spot for 3 days. Oh how I wish I was still there.
This is the other main pool. You could jump from the sides, another waterslide, and a rope swing.
Kole also loved the slide. He would beg us to take him again and again. He would giggle all the way down. We eventually started sending him on his own.
Kole going by himself down the slide.

Kole and Rory "Wim, Wim" (swimming)

And he is all tuckered out........
One of the very few pictures we have of Paiton. She was on the go the entire time and wouldn't stop for a kodak moment.
This is what happens when you go non-stop for 3 days. She was done.
Saige and her favorite Pirate.

Paiton and her favorite Pirate.

This was my favorite Pirate. :)
Just another picture of this amazing place.

Family photo - don't mind Saige rolling her eyes for the picture. This is her signature move.

Ringing the bell right before we left.

This is what happened to Saige before we got to the freeway. She slept the entire 6 hours home.

I have one other thing I've been threatened by Paiton not to talk about on this blog. Let's just say we need some dental work because of an accident on the water slide. Oh well, I guess worse things could happen. Maybe one day she will let me talk about it, until then you can use your imagination.
