Washington

We took our annual vacation to Washington this year in August. We went because it was GG's 80th birthday party and so glad we could make it. 90% of Rory's family was able to make it and it was great to spend some time with family we rarely see. Here are some pictures of the trip.

ROADTRIP!!! This is the first hour of our 16 hour adventure!

We have arrived. It was fun to go during the summer this year. We usually go in the winter and we are trapped indoors. It was fun to spend some time outside with all of the animals. Here is Paiton with the favorite baby bunny.

And Saige with the bunny. She loved this little thing and would hold it for hours. We ended up bringing it home and giving it to some friends.

Admiring the bunny.

Yep...we brought our little tent trailer and set up camp in the front yard. :) Kole kept finding his life jacket and wanted to wear it all day. We let him....it wasn't worth the fight.

I think I have pictures of all of my kids in this famous swing. They love it!

Grandma's trampoline and just some random naked kid. :) Cute bum though!

We also spent a lot of time at Rory's Grandmas house. There was a constant swing of family at her house. Rory's Aunt Betty was also there and my kids adore her.
The kids playing London Bridges with Aunt Betty in the front yard.

Lots of coloring and playing at GG's house.

And relaxing.....
Lots of this....sitting on the front porch visiting with family and watching the kids play in the water.
Another naked bum....whoops!

I didn't get any pictures of the big birthday party, but it was a hit. This 80 year old woman has more friends and family than anyone I know. It was a great party. She was surrounded by so many people that love her and made her day very special. Happy Birthday GG!

We also spent some time with Rory's Dad at Lake Coeur d'Alene. We spent the day on the beach swimming and playing in the sand. You know how I feel about water, sun, and sand. It was a great day.

The finished product. Good job guys!

And of course we spent some time at Riverfront park......

The carousel.

The red wagon slide.

Some cute kids in the City of Spokane!

And some time at the splash park.

And drying off.....

And some exhausted kids for the drive home.
All in all it was a great trip. Paiton stayed a few more days with her Grandma. It was so hard for me to leave her and I was a big baby. She had so much fun and loved spending some one-on-one time with Grandma. Thanks for taking good care of her.

These pictures are killing me! So basically, Kole becomes a nudist at GG's? Love it. Gotta do it while you're young and you can't be arrested for it!!! I'm sure if Rory had his choice he'd be joining him sans clothes.
