Saige is 5!

Saige is finally 5! I say this every year because it seems like forever waiting for this special day. She waits and waits patiently through everyone’s birthday and when her day finally arrives, it is better than Christmas. 

We rang in the birthday with a celebration. We took a few of her friends bowling on her special day. It was really fun but also difficult to manage 4 5-year old kids at the bowling alley. Well worth it though for them to manage the party and especially the clean up. Then we had the usually family birthday a few days later. Celebrating for a few days makes her birthday seem longer and more enjoyable. 

Saige is a total sweetheart. She has the biggest heart. She is the one always concerned with feelings and making people feel good. She loves to cuddle and spend time with her family. She is Kole’s second (and third) mother, but she is always willing to watch over him (sometimes more than I want). 

I’m not sure where it comes from but she is one girly-girl. She loves fancy hair, nails, and makeup. In fact, her favorite birthday present was make-up. She loves dresses, and it wasn’t until recently she would even wear a pair of pants. She loves pink, and princesses, Barbies and babies.  She notices what I wear and how I do my hair. One day she refused to go outside and said “I look ridiculous”. I’m not sure how much I can relate to this girly-girl stuff, but I’ll try.

Saige is sensitive and stubborn and we butt heads at times. I think we have the exact same personality and that is why we don’t always get along. 

I love this little girl. She challenges me daily but also makes me feel so blessed to have her. She makes me laugh, cry, and pull my hair out (all at the same time). I can’t wait to see the person she grows up to be. Love you Saige! Happy Birthday!
